Everlasting Love
As I have been doing my devotions this week Jeremiah 31:3 has repeated itself over and over, which says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you." We as human's cannot even grasp that love and yet it is a love we do not have to strive for. HE has drawn us in and He has promised never to leave us or forsake us. He knows our every thought and deed; He has felt our joys and our sorrows. However, NOTHING can separate us from the love of Christ Jesus our Lord. Today something especially struck me in my quiet time, as I was reading from Come Away My Beloved, by Frances J. Roberts, "He has suffered in all the ways you have suffered, but we shall never suffer as He has suffered; for He experienced one awful moment of separation from the Father." I cannot imagine. I think back to my whole life and not once was I separated from my Fathers love, protection, comfort...yet in order for me to never be far from Him my Lord had to be pulled away for 3 days...This is Love...I do not even want to know what a couple minutes of my life would be like without my God. How beyond blessed we are and may we never forget it!
